Minor suburban annoyances

I'm really annoyed with this spotlight we have outside the house. It has a motion sensor, or something like that, which is supposed to turn it on when prowlers are around. That's the theory, anyway.

Unfortunately, it seems to play up whenever it detects a possum, faling leaf, passing cloud or gust of wind. Maybe there's some way to set it to be less sensitive? I mean, it shouldn't be able to detect the transit of exoplanets, right?

Anyway, I mention this because I've been trying to get some sleep, and it keeps going off and the glow through the window wakes me up.

I mean, it's bad enough that the neighbours are having a fight. Damn - I really hate domestic disturbances. They seem like such a nice couple, too.
