My plan is to get a car/truck/whatever and run as many of the puppies over as physically possible. Wish me luck!

Zombies in Omaha

LJ poster Vicki_sine got an update from the CDC.. she says they believe it may be *mosquito* borne.. if so we are really toast.

according to Lj Thorninthefoot they are vulnerable to salt, and to the phosphoric acid in sodas.. but she is kind of salt obsessed.

People used to say that if a nuclear war happened, they wished they were in Arkansas (USA), because everything arrives there twenty years late.

Well, now the zombies are in Arkansas too.

Whatever it is, it's clearly happening much slower here in Colorado. I think it's because we're not on the coasts. High altitude and very dry climate, maybe that's significant.

The zombies on the Redmond, WA. Microsoft campus seem to be a bit different...

Perhaps we can use this to our advantage.

Deza on LJ was bitten and voluntariy took a gunshot to the head after her library was overrun.

Cousin_sue on LJ says salt and halite work well to keep them out.

Yeah, I'm starting to crave flesh now.

Let me tell you, it's a very odd craving for someone who's been Vegan for almost two years to suddenly have. Pretty sure that I'm not gonna be able to resist it for much longer. Feeling tired and cold, but otherwise content. Gonna go back downstairs to my condo and maybe play a few games of Endless Zombie Rampage... fuck it. I'm okay with the irony. You should be too.

Oh, while I was contemplating my inevitable demise, I put together a little zombie-related rundown for y'all.

Enjoy it while you still have the capacity to feel...

I have more news.

Ayinde's body and the towel that, supposedly, had something to do with the "covered in blood=undetectable" theory have now been retrieved by the authorities. They're analyzing it and the towel to see if they can figure out how this "blood" trick worked and, just maybe, be able to exploit it to wipe these damned things out.

They haven't been able to replicate it, but from what I'm hearing, they're confident that they'll crack it before the night is out.

Glad to see you're back up.

It's been an eerie night, so far.

The public transit guys *rock*. They are *mowing* these zombies down. Wow.

I'm just trying to keep a low profile.

We're safe for now in CA. The mothball fleet is mobilizing. Apparently Hawaii had it's own solution as well....
